Active, Joyful Learning

play-based; deeply connected to nature and the arts

Our child-centered, active and joyful, Beginning School program celebrates and empowers our youngest thinkers, creators, and community members. This play-based program is developmentally responsive, and provides nurture and challenge for our youngest learners socially, academically, emotionally, and physically. Our 107-acre campus provides its own laboratory for outdoor play, learning and experiential education. Our Atelier, in the style of Reggio Emilia, is a dedicated early childhood studio space where children will gather for opportunities to explore their creativity and curiosity through visual art, music, engineering, and creative play. An exemplar in preschool and early childhood learnings programs globally, this student-centered and teacher framed studio space and curriculum is the only one of its kind in the South Sound.
