Tacoma, Wash. — Charles Wright Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Zosel-Johnson to Director of Lower School beginning August 2018.

In the classroom, he takes pride in helping his students become reflective, self-directed learners who apply a growth mindset to discover the inherent joy of learning.
“Nick is an exceptional leader and this new title fits all his intentional work in directing the Lower School. He is admired for how he approaches every situation, big or small, with an equal amount of grace. He is a joy to work with,” Third Grade Teacher Matt Weiner said.
When asked his thoughts regarding his upcoming role at Charles Wright, Nick answered, “My favorite part of the day this year has been greeting our Lower School students at the door each morning. When they walk through that door, I know that they will be cared for and nurtured by an extraordinary faculty and staff who foster a deep and lasting love of learning. I am excited to step into this role and continue the strong foundation for student learning and character education that is a hallmark of the CWA experience.”
Mr. Zosel-Johnson is the recipient of the 2015 Inspirational Faculty Award from the Charles Wright Academy Parent Association. He was raised in Eugene, Oregon, and lives in Tacoma with his wife, Susan Sparrow, who teaches eighth grade history at CWA, and their young daughter.
We at CWA are incredibly excited to welcome Nick into this new role for the start of the next school year.
