Lower Schoolers participated in a decades-long Tarrier tradition on Friday, April 28, when they took to the track around Haertl Field for Jogathon 2017.
Students in grades junior kindergarten through five (as well as parents, guardians, and teachers) ran a total of 3,634 laps, which equals 908.5 miles. The Class of 2024 came away the leader with most laps run by a grade with 714, and the most laps run by a single student was 29 (more than seven miles)!
Funds raised from Jogathon are put toward Lower School extracurricular activities such as classroom parties, recess equipment, the Valentine’s Day craft fair, and other programming. The Lower School will celebrate Jogathon’s success with an ice cream social in May.
