Take your music to the next level this summer! Whether you perform with the school jazz band, write songs on your tablet, jam in the garage with a couple of buddies, or freestyle rap is how you flow, Teen Rock Camp is a great way to hone your skills in a fun and creative environment!

Led by Rafe Wadleigh, a professional musician and chair of Charles Wright’s Performing Arts Department, Teen Rock Camp is a high-energy, weeklong workshop for young musicians ages 13 to 18. Imagine spending each day working with professional musicians and honing your craft under the swirling lights onstage. Your hard work culminates with an all-ages show at the Donn Laughlin Theater in CWA’s Robert A. Camner Language and Performing Arts Center (RACLAPAC) on Friday night.

In addition to lots of rehearsal time, each day features lunchtime concerts by some of the hottest musical acts in the Puget Sound area. Teen Rock Camp covers a range of skills and techniques for aspiring musicians, including:

  • Stage presence
  • Music composition and arrangement
  • Songwriting and lyrics
  • Connecting with your audience
  • Promoting your music in the age of social media
