We encourage children to be active! Through fitness classes (three or four times a week), recess (twice a day), and after-school activities, our Lower Schoolers not only develop a lifelong commitment to healthy activity, but also they learn teamwork, how to play by the rules of the game, and how to win and lose gracefully. They develop greater coordination and, perhaps most importantly, they get out the wiggles!
With the help of volunteer parent coaches, we offer an after-school Running Club, baseball, basketball, and soccer. We offer football for boys and girls in third through fifth grades. Through youth athletics, many of our students develop a passion for a particular sport and continue to compete through their Middle and Upper School years.
