CWA Athletic Recap Through 9/22

Girls Soccer
The young Tarrier soccer team hosted Evergreen Lutheran in a non-league contest. CWA battled Evergreen Lutheran to a 1-1 match that saw the Tarriers dominate possession in their offensive end for the majority of the game but had a lot of shots that just missed goal.

The Tarriers traveled to Vashon to take on the Pirates in a league contest. The Pirates were in control of the match much of the evening.

The Tarriers traveled to take on Eatonville in a non-league match-up. The game was delayed 30 minutes for lightning. The Tarriers battled the Cruisers for the first quarter but the depth and size of Eatonville wore CWA down. The Tarriers lost 44-0.

CWA played Port Townsend High School in their first league game. Port Townsend had a couple big plays in the first half that gave them a 30-7 lead at the half. The second half the Tarriers came out and battled back into the game. The Tarriers showed a lot of heart fighting to the end in a 36-27 loss.

Boys Tennis
The boys tennis team has not been tested this season with only playing league schools at this point of the season. They are 4-0 (league record). We are in the process of trying to schedule some larger schools to give them some competition.

The volleyball team went to the Sun Dome Volleyball tournament in mid-September to take on some of the top teams in the Northwest. The Tarriers were in some battles that will help them throughout this season. The Tarriers beat Bellevue Christian 3-1 in their first league contest of the year. The Tarriers lost the first set but battled back to win 3 straight. The Vikings had 3 players over 6 feet.

CWA went up to Seattle Christian to beat them 3-0 to improve to 2-0 in league.

Cross Country
Girls X-Country team finished 2nd in the ECL/Nisqually meet.
Boys X-Country team finished 1st in the ECL/Nisqually meet.

Middle School

Boys Soccer
CWA beat Annie Wright 4-0

Beat Seattle Christian 3-0
Beat McMurray 3-0

Cross Country
CWA hosted the first Middle School cross country meet on campus last week.

The boys and girls teams won the meet

Lower School

Running Club
The CWA Lower School Running Club competed in their first CYO Meet of the season. There were 57 runners that came out to race on the beautiful afternoon.
