CWA Athletic Recap through 10/12

Upper School

The Varsity volleyball team won 2 league matches last week against Annie Wright and Bellevue Christian with both matches being 3-0. The Bellevue Christian win was huge as they traveled up to Bellevue to defeat the second place Vikings by a lopsided margin. CWA is 9-0 overall and has only played more than 3 sets in 1 contest this season. The Tarriers will be the #1 seed heading into the district 3 tournament.

Girls Soccer
The young Tarriers took on Bellevue Christian in a league matchup. The Tarriers played their most complete game of the season but came up short on the scoreboard 2-0.

The football team traveled to Silverdale to take on Klahowya High School. The Tarriers fell behind 23-0 in the first quarter but came storming back to cut the lead to 23-20 in the 3rd. CWA had a couple costly turnovers in the 4th quarter that helped Klahowya to a 44-20 win.

Boys Tennis
The Tennis team dominated Cascade Christian 5-0 in their final regular season match. CWA is 9-0 with non-league wins over Curtis and Sumner High School. The Tarriers dominated their league opponents and look to carry the momentum into the league and district tournament.

Cross Country
The Tarriers had their last tune-up meet before starting their post-season run. Both teams look to be competing for the district 3 championships. The district 3 championship meet is Saturday, October 27th at Chambers Bay.

Middle School

Boys soccer beat Seattle Christian 10-4 but lost to Lighthouse Christian 4-2.

The Volleyball team played with just 7th graders and lost to Carbonado. It was a great experience for the 7th grade players.

Cross Country
Boys finished in 3rd place.
Girls took 1st place and had the top 3 finishers and 5 of the top 8 runners.
