Holly Gerla currently serves as CWA’s school information system administrator; having previously been the academic technology coordinator, Holly has the singular combination of technology know-how and academic experience to set up and manage the school’s new system, Veracross.
Prior to coming to CWA, Holly spent six years teaching language arts and social studies in public schools. Throughout her career she has also taught preschoolers, community college students, and graduate-level courses. For the last several years at CWA, she has taught grades 3-5 as a technology specialist in the Lower School, and she currently teaches digital citizenship to ninth graders in the Upper School. She serves on the school’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and works with Upper School librarian Sam Harris to coordinate parent and guardian education workshops on raising kids in the digital world.
“I love so many things about teaching at CWA, but I’d have to say my favorite is being one of the people who works across all divisions,” Holly says. “It’s rewarding to see the kids grow into the young adults they are becoming.”
