Christina Bertucchi is a very talented artist who creates work in a variety of media. As a faculty member in the Upper School, Christina has been helping students create amazing art from day one. Having worked at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and the Studio Arts Center International in Florence, she certainly has a varied professional background. She was inspired to be a teacher by her mother and grandmother, both of whom were educators. “I grew up hearing all of their wonderful stories from the classroom,” she said. “I knew I wanted to be in an environment where learning and discovering took place every day.”
Christina says she loves the small class sizes at CWA and the opportunity to get to know her students on a personal level. She enjoys seeing the community that develops within each class and says she appreciates “how students can come into a space and create something they didn’t even know they were capable of making. How each person influences and responds to each other.”
Christina enjoys opportunities to paint outdoors, and loves to spend as much of her free time as she can on or around the water.
