2018-19 School year application deadlines

  • Rolling application deadline – currently accepting applications for all grades for the 2018-19 school year.
  • Admissions decisions are available one week after the application steps have been fully completed (see below).

Application Login

Once you’ve seen what learning looks like at Charles Wright, it’s time to apply! Here’s how:

  1. Complete the online application.
  • Fill out our online application through our admissions portal, available at The portal will prompt you to provide us with the following:

o Demographic Information
o Application Photo
o Parent Questionnaire
o Student Questionnaire
o School Records
o Teacher Recommendation(s)

  • Once you have completed the application information, you will submit the appropriate application fee online by credit or debit card, or by mailing us a check. To request a fee waiver, please contact the admissions office.

o Applicants for grades Jr. K-5: $80
o Applicants for grades 6-12: $40
o International applicants: $250

  1. Register for the appropriate assessment.
  • Applicants for grades Jr. K-5 will have an assessment conducted in the Admissions Office by a test administrator. Please call us to set up your individual assessment.
  • Applicants for grades 6-12 can take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) either by paper on a Saturday group testing date, or by computer in the Admissions Office on a weekday. Please call us to set up your individual weekday assessment, or to see if any previous testing can qualify.  Visit to view information about the ISEE (including practice materials) or to schedule the ISEE at another testing site. Our ISEE school code is 481368. Please be sure to add this code to your ISEE registration after you select a testing date.
  • Although we do not administer the SSAT on our campus, we will accept SSAT scores Our SSAT school code is 2304. Visit for more information.
  1. Schedule your child’s visit.
    • Even if you’ve toured our campus already, we require an individual visit for your child to get to know Charles Wright Academy and for us to get to know your child. The structure of these visits depends on the age of your child. Please call us to schedule your appointment, which can be combined with a tour of campus and/or the admissions assessment.
      • During the school year, students will experience Charles Wright classes alongside our current students and meet our teachers and staff. Lower Schoolers will visit for a full school day from 8-3; Middle and Upper Schoolers visit for a half-day (8-11:30 in Middle School, 8-12 in the Upper School). Jr. K and Kindergarten have a group observation day. Full day visits to Middle and Upper school are also available at your request.
      • During school breaks, students will have an opportunity to tour campus and to meet with a member of the admissions committee.
