Holly Gerla serves as CWA’s academic technology coordinator. “Working collaboratively with faculty to prepare meaningful projects that integrate technology is fantastic, and being invited into the classroom to team-teach with them is even more fun,” she says.
Gerla spent six years teaching language arts and social studies in the public schools. Throughout her career she has also taught preschoolers, community college students and graduate-level courses.
“I love so many things about teaching at CWA, but I’d have to say my favorite is being one of the people who bridges the transition from Lower School to Middle School,” says Gerla. “It’s rewarding to see the kids grow into the young adults they are becoming.”
Gerla enjoys gardening, videography and digital photography. She moved to the Northwest from St. Louis when she was just 18 days old, so she considers herself a native.
