Mindy McGrath teaches physical education in the Lower and Middle Schools. “I hope that I can teach kids that it is fun and rewarding to be healthy and to enjoy physical activity,” says McGrath.
“In the third grade, I do a unit that is called Choose Your Own Adventure,” she explains. “Each student has a special day where they get to run the show. They lead warm-ups and then they choose or create a game for the day. It is great to see their creativity and how proud they are to see others enjoying their game.”
McGrath joined the Charles Wright faculty in 2003. She is a graduate of Principia College in Saint Louis. In addition to teaching, she coaches volleyball at CWA. She enjoys taking trips to the park with her son, playing volleyball and spending time with her family.
