Beginning School (BGS) & Kindergarten (K):
Families with students applying to BGS & K for fall admission are strongly encouraged to submit your application by December 15, 2009. This will allow time for one-on-one testing to be completed before our group observation dates on March 6 & 13, 2010. On March 24, 2010, the first round of contracts will be mailed. After that time we will continue to accept applications on a space available basis.
Beginning School: Readiness is assessed using the Gesell Developmental Observation and a series of observations during a visit to school. The observations focus on a student's socialization and ability to take direction. Successful applicants usually turn four by the 30th of June preceding the start of school. All Beginning Schoolers must be able to use the toilet without assistance.
Kindergarten: Readiness is assessed using the Woodcock-Johnson III Test of Cognitive Abilities and a variety of screening activities during a visit to school. The screening activities focus on early skill development as well as socialization. Successful applicants usually turn five by the 30th of June preceding the start of school.
Grades 1-12:
Families with students applying for grades 1-12 for fall admission are strongly encouraged to submit your application by February 15, 2010. Applications completed by this date will be guaranteed review in our first round of decisions. As soon as a decision has been made, the applicant’s family will be notified. Applications received after February 15th will be considered on a rolling admissions, space-available basis.
We encourage you to call us at any point in the year to inquire about space available in grades of interest.
How to Apply:
1. Request or download the application, then mail it along with the appropriate application fee.
2. Send the appropriate application fee (payable by check only) to Admissions.
