The CWA Parent Association fosters a community that supports and serves the school through the time, talents and resources of our parents and volunteers.
The Parent Association mission highlights our goals to support and serve the school, and to foster a community that chooses to do so. There are no required volunteer hours at Charles Wright. All that is accomplished is done by those who want to make their children’s’ educational experience all that it can be.
Each year, the Parent Association serves and supports the school through a number of school wide social events and fundraisers, as well as by providing assistance in the classrooms, libraries, cafeterias and on the athletic fields. Like the children we support, volunteer opportunities come in all shapes and sizes.
Our two school-wide annual fundraisers continue to grow and to amaze! The 2nd weekend in November, our Tarrier Dome is converted into the South Sound’s largest rummage sale. 20,000 square feet of bargains bring thousands of shoppers from all over Washington, raising upwards of $50,000 for our school. In March, the Tarrier Dome puts on its finery, as we throw the party of the year, our Wright Spirit Auction. This gala event is so entertaining, whether you choose to attend, or to volunteer and continues to be one of the best ways to get involved in the Charles Wright community.
In addition, we provide opportunities for parents to meet monthly to learn more about our school, to hear about parenting hot topics, and of course, to socialize. After all, we recognize that your children are not the only new ones on campus!
If you're the parent of a current CWA student, be sure to visit the school's Enrolled Families Parent Association webpage for more information on all our activities.
