We encourage children to be active! Through fitness classes (four times a week), recess (twice a day), and after-school activities, our youngest students not only develop a lifelong commitment to healthy activity, they learn teamwork, how to play by the rules of the game, and how to win and lose gracefully. They develop greater coordination and, perhaps most importantly, they get out the wiggles!

Although they are members of the Lower School, junior kindergartners and kindergartners have their own playground just outside their classroom doors. The toys are just the right size, and they can confidently explore and play with their classmates.

With the help of volunteer parent coaches, we offer an after-school Running Club, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Through youth athletics, many of our students develop a passion for a particular sport and continue to compete through their Lower, Middle, and Upper School years.
