It may surprise you to discover — especially if you are a CWA parent! — that tuition alone doesn’t sustain Charles Wright Academy. Like every independent school, we need additional resources (financial aid support, for example) to make our campus population more diverse. And we need your support to keep our facilities up-to-date. These are just some of the power and possibilities provided by the generous gifts and commitment of CWA parents, alumni, faculty and friends. Without these donations and planned gifts, our mission — it’s never too early for higher education — would not be possible.
Since our founding half a century ago, we have benefited from the generosity and vision of friends and families whose gifts have inspired successive generations of students and made our campus what it is today. The Offices of Development and Alumni Relations focuses on building these relationships and engaging the community in supporting our educational mission.
There are as many convenient, smart ways to give as there are reasons for giving. You can make a contribution using many kinds of assets and through a variety of methods including installment pledges spread over time. Gift options include cash, checks, gifts of securities and other assets. You can make an unrestricted gift, which gives the headmaster flexibility to respond to immediate needs and opportunities. Or you may direct your gift to one or more of the following:
The Annual Fund (this is the heart of CWA’s fundraising efforts, and supports everything from financial aid to sports to new technology)
Financial Aid Endowment (this is the promise — more than $1 million total — we make to promising kids in need)
Faculty Support Endowment (this is how we hire and keep the best of the best teachers)
Other (just tell us what you want to support)
