A PEEK INTO SAM BROWN'S DIARY:
November 18, 1957: Attendance was affected by the prevalent epidemics. Half the student body of 42 was absent the last week in October. Because so many kids were sick, the faculty put on costumes and made a trick or treat tour of several students’ homes to cheer them up. Most of the cheer seemed to come to the faculty.
