The CWA golf program is open to all Upper School boys and girls interested in playing golf.  While many of the school’s golfers are extremely competitive in district and state competitions, others are just learning what may become a life-long sport.  CWA won the boys state championship in 2007 and finished second in 2008, 2006 and 1988.  The girls team is looking forward to winning their first state championship after taking second place in 2008, 2006, 2005 and 2004.

CWA’s golf program focuses on fitness, nutrition, individual and team play. Golf teaches precision, self-control, patience, honesty, time management and problem solving.  Players learn how to deal with both success and failure and the value of perseverance.  The opportunity to play many of the Pacific Northwest’s most beautiful courses is just an added bonus.  CWA’s home matches are played at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club, Meadow Park Golf Course and Oakbrook Golf and Country Club.

The girls and boys golf teams compete in the Nisqually League at the 1A level.  Their opponents include Cascade Christian, Life Christian, Seattle Christian, Orting, Fife, Washington and Vashon.  They also play non-league matches against teams from larger schools and compete in tournaments with players from around the state.

The boys team is coached by Kevin Kane.  The girls team is coached by Peggy Topel.
