The Arts Guild was reborn in 2009 as a group organized by parent volunteers, led by parents, and open to anyone in the wider CWA community who wants to support and promote the arts at Charles Wright. 

During the 2011-2012 school year, the Arts Guild is focusing on four areas:

1)    Concert and Visual Art Show Support: Ensuring parent volunteers are available to help at Middle and Upper School concerts, including ushering, providing extra adult supervision, serving refreshments after performances, videotaping, and other support as requested by faculty.  Volunteers are also available to help the visual arts department create displays for art shows in all three divisions.

2)    Drama/Musical Performance Support: Provide skilled support for particular projects, including the Upper School fall and winter shows, the 7th/8th Grade Chormical, and the Upper School spring One Acts. Particular areas needed vary by show and may include costuming, box office, procuring props, painting, ushering, and selling concessions.

3)    Special Event Volunteers: CWA's second annual C'DAT festival of the arts will be held in the spring of 2012. This event brings together the visual and performing arts in all three divisions in a whole new way!  

4)    Arts Guild Leadership: Continue to develop the organization of the Arts Guild, including cultivating members, tracking volunteers’ skills and interests, improving communications, connecting with the visual arts, and developing additional leadership capacity.
