The CWA Parent Association fosters a community that supports and serves the school through the time, talents and resources of our parents and volunteers.
Vision Statement:
“Together We Make Such a Difference”
The Parent Association (PA) mission highlights two main goals—to support and serve Charles Wright Academy and to strengthen our community as we do so! As a Parent Association, our goal is to partner with the school for the betterment of our children, to provide meaningful opportunities for parents to get involved and to promote community through our social events, fundraisers and parent meetings.
All parents are automatically members of the PA; dues are not required, nor are minimum volunteer hours. All that is accomplished is done by those who want to make their children’s educational experience all that it can be, while having fun, making friends and getting involved. The PA is not an advocacy group. For issues about curriculum or school policy, each parent is asked to initiate discussions with their children’s teachers and coaches, their division heads or the Headmaster.
Charles Wright parents know that volunteering continues to be one of the best ways to develop friendships as well as a long-lasting bond with the school. The PA is guided by a Steering Committee that meets monthly to chart the course for the year, coordinate all-school social events and fundraisers, discuss upcoming divisional volunteer needs and plan parent meetings.
